I left it all on the field.  I did everything I could.  I even cheated and did not do all of my shakes.  I had a number in my head and you never ever should do that. I knew this but I could not stop myself.  I could not write at all this week. I was tired and dizzy and wiped out.  I swam almost every day.  I walked sometimes twice a day.  Last week I wrote — “Even if I don’t hit that silly number next week, it will not elude me for long!” — Truer words were never spoken. I have no idea what made me think that I could, at this point in the game, visit the 350’s for only one week. I mean I ended last week just barely into the 350’s — and to think I could just lose 10 pounds like it was nothing.  The weight loss is settling into a 6 lbs. to 8 lbs. level — which is still incredible!  And 349 — you cannot elude me forever… You better watch out because here I come!

  1. As usual, I just love the darn pictures. They really tell a great tale of your weight loss journey.

Just a top notch fantastic job.

  2. Juju says:

OMG! That is crazy weight loss for 10 weeks. Compare it to the .8 lbs I have lost over the last 10 weeks. It is so easy to say, I’ll do it after the trip…or I’ll do it when I feel better. You dove in and you have done it. What a triumph. Now – Do not cheat by skipping shakes. When I did that (years ago)I got very sick – went into ketosis and the docs made me start eating again. (needless to say – I’m fat again) You need those calories to stay healthy and to lose weight. Otherwise your body goes into super overdive protection mode and hangs on for dear life to whatever fat stores it can.

    Way to go. UNBELIEVABLE success!!

    • I hear you on the shakes… 5 of those things are enough to make you throw up.
OK one of them is enough to make you throw up.
I try to get all 5 in but I must confess that I usually get 4 and sometimes only 3.
      Thanks for stopping by Julie…

  3. We all tend to judge ourselves a bit harshly. Believe me those pictures are showing a big drop. Tune in tomorrow to my site for some before after shots.
