Lousy week for weight loss.  The God’s were angry my friends.  No one really lost weight at our group this week.  I have not read many losing much online either.  I look at it as a pause.  We will all surely move forward next week.  I am determined to get further and further away from that 300 lbs. mark and hopefully will never see it again.

In other news, I have been running for the first time in a long time.  Usually I go to they YMCA and walk for 30 minutes or more.  I have decided now to graduate to running.  I am running four times a week.  A mile each time and will gradually move it up.  There is a 5k run (Turkey Trot) that my 11-year-old daughter runs every year in Washington, D.C. when we visit her Uncle.  I usually stand by the side of the finish line and cheer her on.  This year, I plan to run it with her.

This week is -2.0 lbs. even.  Crazy that it is so exact.

Starting Weight: 449.8 lbs.

  1. 2 pounds is better than no pounds and once again, given the amount you have lost, it is probably going to be the norm moving forward.

Running too? You really put me to shame. 😀

    Keep up the great work.

  2. I have always wanted to run, but never been able to do it. It is still kind of a wish or dream, that is coming closer. I’m thinking maybe in a couple of months it is something I’d like to try. Congrats on being able to do this, and have fun participating in the Turkey Trot this year instead of cheering from the sidelines!

I just want you to know that you (among others) inspired me and I’m starting Optifadt! I just had my consult today and I go in for my medical exam on Thursday! I have copied you and started a nlog about it too, at http://optifast.tumblr.com/. Not much there yet but I want to post a few times a week to track my progress. Thanks again for being an inspiration.

    • Sorry about the long delay in getting back to you…. I will be jumping over there later today to see how you are doing! I wish the best for you and I am glad I could help. If you have any questions or need some information just let me know.

  4. I can’t wait for the weekly update. How about an early edition? 😛

Whoa, nelly! You look skinny! Like, not just like you’re making progress, but like a different person! Fantastic!

  6. Ahem! We seem to be missing something this week. 😀

  7. Misty says:

No worries (as they say in Australia) about the delay. I just keep finding great blogs to read! I got so hungry today I thought I forgot a product. My body finally noticed what I am up to!
