Was it the salt?  Was it those little pretzels that I sneak in a bowl at night?  Or rather was it just going back to Week 1 of Maintenance and sticking with it for once?  No matter what the root cause was — what I did was working.  I plan to do more of the same this week.  It is a big number — you might want to take a peak below.

I have lost a total of 160 lbs. now. I see the difference in my legs. I sneak a view of it when I look at my arms.  My belly is much less a being of its own.  It does not feel so hard to deal with.  I still have issues with my self-image.  I do not see it when others point it out.  I have to stare at a photo for a long time to really be able to tell.  I know it is crazy right?  I have had a few times now where my stomach is hungry.  I never felt real hunger before.  I do feel it now from time to time.  I ran a little survey and most of my “normal” sized friends say they get hungry all the time.  They feel it before breakfast, lunch and dinner.  That never really happened for me.

40 lbs. to go to goal.  It seems so obtainable now.  Not just some crazy number so far away. Back to the hard work this week to keep the needle heading in the right direction.  160 seems like such a big number.  I am proud of that.

This week is -7.4 lbs.

  1. Great progress! My sis lost 150# several years ago, and I am just now adjusting to how she looks NOW. Only recently did I begin to picture the NEW sis in my head when I’m thinking of her rather than the old image I had for so long. She says she is still adjusting!

  2. Congrats on the big drop! Yes 40 is definitely doable given how far you’ve come. The light is on at the end of the tunnel. That’s great that you can really see the difference. Certainly your photo looks fantastic! But it is an adjustment, feeling at home in a new body. At least for me!

  3. 😛

Quit saying you can’t see it. 😛

The side by side pictures really show how much you have lost.

Can you believe it? 160 pounds and in such a short time. You have done a tremendous job.

Really, think about it. Did you even think it was possible, yet here you are, a little more than half a year later with only 40 pounds to go to reach your goal. 😀

Kudos to you, my good sir! Kudos!

  4. Oh. Picture malfunction. You put the front view twice. Side view is the best that really shows the huge change.

  5. Shonnie says:

You can see it from both man. That is so amazing. Just since I have been out of whack with my meds and losing touch you have Change Dramatically! This is truely amazing. WTG! Lookin’ great man!

You are but a shadow of your former self.
