The Turkey Challenge continues.. I have got to get going to try to get to my goal by Turkey Day! It has been hard but I really want to turn it up a notch.  I see that Shonnie & Grumpy have taken the challenge. So this week I am not sure how we want to tally this.  I think it should be percentage off of your weight, but I am open to suggestions.  For me it is 3.4 lbs. in two weeks.  So the challenge is working… Got to work hard now that Grumpy is back on Atkins. Three more weigh-ins until Turkey day!

  1. Yeah. Percentage is the way to go. I’ve been bouncing all over. I think I started the challenge at 167.7 then dropped to 163.5 then spiked up to 173 and now I am back to 168.5.

Most of the gain was water weight so It should keep dropping fast.

The challenge is a great idea because it will be good to drop a few extra pounds before the horrors to come during the holiday season. 😀

Next week, I should be in the negative again and on the way to whippin you and Shonnie. 😀

  2. Good job pulling away from the 300 barrier. 😀

  3. Shonnie says:

I think Percentage is the only way I have a chance to hang in this game. WTG on the 3 pound drop. I went from my last Official weigh in I was 185 and now am 181–I have forgotten the exact percentage and I don’t have a brain to do that now. 😀

  4. Shonnie says:

ok what happened to my comment?

    • I see your comment and I think you are winning!

      • Shonnie says:

haha … I am not so sure about the winning thing. Grumpy is smaller than both of us and has lost a bit. Not sure how much, but he drops like a rock on Atkins. Several folks have suggested that we send in Pics of Taco Bell and Popeyes Fried Chicken. I’m not sure I can do that, cuz it could backfire and tempt me! hehe!

  5. I do have 1 bad lunch coming up this week. Not sure what or where but it will definitely not be Atkins friendly. I’m hoping to get back down near my low before the lunch late in the week.

  6. I enjoy following the competition – competing at weight loss always helps me, guess I’m competitive by nature! I didn’t join this one, but will root for all of you, and hope we can all celebrate Turkey Day a little smaller and more fit.

  7. Shonnie says:

Ed man …. I miss you with your witty dialogue … you post too infrequently … just sayin’!
